Rubra Astrantia

Garden and floral designers alike revere Rubra Astrantia for its wine- red bracts surrounding a pincushion-like dome of tiny flowers. The form of its flat, dense flower clusters is reminiscent of Queen Anne's lace. Removing spent blooms encourages more buds. Flowers may be cut fresh or dried for winter arrangements.
