James Macfarlane Lilac Hedge

This easy-to-grow, deciduous shrub blooms about two weeks later than many other lilac varieties, allowing you to extend the lilac season in your small corner of the world. Flowering shrubs, such as lilac bushes, provide structure to landscapes and gardens. James Macfarlane's big clusters of fragrant, pink flowers attract hummingbirds and butterflies, fills the late-spring air with its perfume. The clusters are excellent for use in fresh-cut arrangements. This lilac bush grows 8–10' tall with a similar spread, making it ideal for planting as part of a flowering hedge or natural privacy screen. Its green foliage is an excellent background for neighbouring perennials in bloom. For best performance, we recommend planting in well-drained soil and in full sun. Zones 2–7.
