Officinalis Rosea Plena Peony

A fixture in American gardens since the 1700s, this heirloom variety was ultivated in European medicinal gardens at least a century before that. Sturdy and healthy with a compact habit, this peony flowers profusely, once drawing bounteous pollinators to the landscape. Its bright pink, double blooms feature large guard petals and slender, notched inner petals that lighten with age. Recipient of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
