Shima-Nishiki Tree Peony

The Japanese name of this variety translates to "Fire Flame"—and no wonder. Full, red flowers have an irregular pattern of white streaks and a centre of yellow stamens to provide a fiery contrast. Don't be alarmed if blooms open all red or all white as it is getting established. Mildly fragrant. Medium green foliage is deeply divided into oval to lance-shaped leaflets.
