Wineberry Candy Reblooming Daylily
This beloved beauty is one of the first daylilies of the season to bloom and has one of the longest flowering periods of any hemerocallis. A winner of many awards, it's a real performer—blooms remain open for 16 hours or more—and an exceptional rebloomer that flowers repeatedly later in the season. Plants exhibit excellent hardiness, good branching and high bud counts. Trumpet-shaped, 5" blooms have an orchid hue with purple eye zones and green throats. Fragrant flowers are a magnet for nectar-seeking butterflies. Foliage is dormant and grasslike. Drought tolerant and simple to grow. Two of the most prestigious honours it has received came from the American Daylily Society: the 1999 President's Cup Award and the 1998 L. Ernest Plouf Award.
Is Jumbo the Way to Go?
This daylily is available in a Jumbo Bareroot size. Ideal for gardeners who hate to wait, jumbo bareroots (multifan clumps) have a considerable head start over standard sizes. Enjoy faster plant growth and much earlier blooms, likely within the first year.
